IT Initiative of the Year

The effective use of information technology (IT) by utilities is essential to providing the high service levels customers have come to expect while containing costs. Entries to IT Initiative Award should demonstrate the use of modern – not necessarily cutting edge – IT systems to help the business achieve its aims. The judges are looking for systems-based initiatives with a back office focus. Prospective entrants please note that entries with an emphasis on smart technology should consider entering the smart utilities award, while customer-facing IT initiatives such as apps should be entered in the new customer engagement category.
